Weekly service

Weekly pool service

Same day each week: brush, skim, baskets, vacuum as needed, tested and balanced water, and a service report.

Most of our customers are on weekly service. Your pool keeps the same service day, and each visit follows our method.

Ask about weekly pool service

Every visit

  • Brush the walls, steps and waterline tile
  • Skim the surface and empty the skimmer and pump baskets
  • Vacuum as needed and check the pool cleaner
  • Test and balance the water
  • Check the pump, filter pressure, heater and salt cell
  • On-the-way text, and a service report when we’re done

Cleanups and cleaning

Green pool recovery

Algae blooms and pools that sat for months, brought back to clear water, then onto weekly service if you want it.

An algae bloom, a foreclosure, a pool that sat through a summer. We look at it first and quote the cleanup in writing.

Ask about green pool recovery

How it goes

  1. We see the pool and the equipment, then send a written quote
  2. Heavy debris out, then the water is treated and the filter cleaned as it clears
  3. Brushing and vacuuming until the walls and floor are clean
  4. Balanced water, and weekly service from there if you want it
After: The same pool with clear turquoise water after the cleanup
Before: A backyard pool with bright green, algae-filled water

Filter cleaning

Cartridge cleans and DE grid tear-downs, so the pump moves water the way it should after a dusty season.

In the Valley, a cartridge filter usually needs cleaning two or three times a year, and again after a dusty monsoon. Rising filter pressure on your service report is the sign.

Ask about filter cleaning

Covers

  • Cartridge filters: removed, cleaned and inspected
  • DE filters: grids torn down and cleaned, fresh DE added
  • Worn cartridges or grids flagged before they tear

Tile and calcium cleaning

The white scale Phoenix water leaves on the waterline, taken off the tile without scratching it or the grout.

Hard water evaporates and leaves its calcium behind as a white crust at the waterline. Left long enough it bonds to the tile and is much harder to take off.

Ask about tile and calcium cleaning

Good to know

  • Removed without scratching the tile or digging out grout
  • Balanced water slows how fast it comes back

Chemical wash

For stained or etched plaster that brushing and balancing can no longer bring back.

When plaster is stained or etched past what brushing and balancing can fix, a chemical wash takes off a thin layer and brings back a clean surface. The pool has to be drained for it.

Ask about chemical wash

Good to know

  • Best done in the cooler months, when draining is safer for the plaster
  • We’ll tell you if the plaster is too thin to wash and needs resurfacing instead

Repairs and equipment

Equipment repair

Pumps, motors, filters, valves, lights and leaks: diagnosed, quoted in writing, then fixed.

We tell you what’s wrong, what it costs and whether it can wait. Repairs are quoted in writing and nothing starts until you approve.

Ask about equipment repair

Common repairs

  • Pumps and motors that won’t prime, hum or trip the breaker
  • Leaking valves, unions and filter lids
  • Pool lights and timers
  • Suspected leaks in the pool or plumbing

Pool heating

Gas heaters and heat pumps, sized to your pool, to stretch the swim season past October.

A heater can stretch the swim season from spring into late fall. We’ll help you choose between gas and a heat pump based on your pool and how you use it.

Ask about pool heating

Good to know

  • Gas heats fast, which suits a spa or occasional use
  • A heat pump costs less to run when you heat the pool for weeks at a time

Equipment upgrades

Variable-speed pumps, salt systems and LED lights that cost less to run through a Phoenix summer.

Older single-speed pumps are some of the most expensive appliances to run in a Phoenix home. A variable-speed pump moves the same water slower, for less.

Popular upgrades

  • Variable-speed pumps
  • Salt chlorine generators
  • LED pool and spa lights
  • Replacement filters and heaters

Automation and smart control

Run the pump, heat, lights and water features from your phone, installed and set up for you.

Run the pump schedule, heater, lights and water features from your phone. We install it, connect it to your equipment and set it up with you.

Ask about automation and smart control

Good to know

  • Works with most modern pumps, heaters and lights
  • Handy for spa heat on demand and for keeping an eye on the pool while you’re away
